Charissa Thompson
Thompson left FOX Sports to host the show for Versus Sports and Yahoo Sports. Thompson was the anchor of Versus' NHL studio coverage and produced web-based content for the highly trafficked Yahoo platform. She also managed its presence at some of the most prestigious events, including those of the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV as well as the BCS National Championship. She had a great time hosting in both areas, which made her join ESPN in August of 2011. As a host, she hosted the newly created program in the afternoon called "Numbers Never Lie" for the network. The show was a part of"SportsNation" in the summer of 2012 "SportsNation" company in July of 2012. The show proved to be a huge success, and she stayed on until May 2013, after which she returned home to Los Angeles to launch FS1. Thompson is an avid sports enthusiast, however she has demonstrated the versatility necessary for her to transition into the entertainment industry. In June of 2014, following a number of part-time positions Thompson was named permanent co-host to the Hollywood nightly newsmagazine "Extra". In this capacity the magazine filmed its episodes at Universal Studios while also staffing events like awards and other public gatherings on a regular basis.
